Usage is measured per API key operation — each create, rotate, revoke, or read call counts as one request. Audit log queries and dashboard views do not count toward your usage limit. Your monthly counter resets on the same calendar day you signed up, and you can monitor real-time consumption from your dashboard at any point during the billing cycle.

When you reach the Free tier limit of 500 monthly operations, your API key management calls are paused — no silent overcharges, no surprise invoices. You'll receive an email notification at 80{2ebf1f57190024323518be5b2d4bf8fde7bbf270a678249482126c4b900327f3} and again at 100{2ebf1f57190024323518be5b2d4bf8fde7bbf270a678249482126c4b900327f3} of your limit. To continue, you can upgrade to Pro at any time from your dashboard. Your existing keys and audit history are preserved during any pause.

Yes, absolutely. There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Account Settings → Billing. Your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period, after which your account automatically downgrades to the Free tier. All your data, keys, and logs are retained for 30 days post-cancellation.

Yes. Every new account gets a 14-day Pro trial with no credit card required. You'll have full access to all Pro features — unlimited key rotation, team seats, SSO, and priority support — for the entire trial period. At the end of the trial, you choose whether to subscribe. If you don't, your account reverts to the Free tier with no charges.

No. colunrn does not charge overage fees. Usage-based surprise bills are not part of our model. On the Free tier, operations pause at the limit. On Pro, the limit is high enough for the vast majority of production workloads (50,000 operations/month). If you need a higher cap, contact us for an Enterprise plan with a fixed, agreed-upon volume.
